Welcome to the University of Kansas and Panhellenic Association website!

Our campus is full of rich tradition, incredible communities to join, and a wonderful, educational institution that will prepare you for anything beyond your college years.
My name is Brynn Bertie, and I am the President of the Panhellenic Association (PHA).
On behalf of the entire Panhellenic community, welcome to the Panhellenic Association (PHA) at the University of Kansas! Here at KU our community consists of 11 National Panhellenic Conference chapters consisting of over 3,000+ members! With so many wonderful young women making up our community, each chapter is unique, offering an abundance of opportunities for friendship, leadership, personal development and so much more. As a Panhellenic Council, we work to nurture and uphold a community of intelligent and compassionate women. Being in a sorority is more than just the letters we wear. It is the opportunity to be part of something much bigger than yourself and to immerse yourself in the greater KU community. The majority of our members are involved in at least one other campus organization; you can find Panhellenic women involved in athletics, serving on the Undergraduate Senate, writing for the UDK, participating in research, and so much more!
Being a member of the Panhellenic community over the past three years has had a tremendous impact upon my life. It has provided me with countless opportunities for personal growth, leadership development, and advocacy for women in our community. Coming from a small town, I was used to living among a tight-knit community where I always knew a familiar face. Transitioning from this to a much larger town, I wanted to join an organization that would provide the same feeling of comfort and support in a new and unfamiliar environment. During Fall Formal Recruitment I was warmly welcomed by each chapter and inspired by each member I was able to talk with, which only strengthened my excitement to be a part of this community. After joining a Panhellenic chapter myself, I can confidently say that this community has provided me with endless opportunities, exciting experiences, and lifelong memories. Along with the Panhellenic community’s comfort and support, values which I came into recruitment looking for, this community has also pushed me to embrace new experiences and opportunities in ways that have profoundly impacted my personal and professional development. During my time with this community I have served within my chapter as Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Access Chair, Ritual Chair, and Vice President of Alumnae Relations, and with the Panhellenic Association as an Equity, Inclusion, Diversity and Access Committee Member and a Recruitment Counselor. It truly has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my undergraduate time to get to lead this community. The Panhellenic Association has allowed me to find my home away from home surrounded by the people I have grown to love.
Panhellenic relies upon four foundational pillars: Leadership, Scholarship, Friendship, and Service. These pillars serve as a guiding principle and enable members to achieve excellence in every area of their lives. From social events to philanthropic opportunities to leadership positions, the PHA community undoubtedly has something for you. Our community is made up of so many diverse women from different backgrounds, and it is these individual differences, and chapter differences, that make us stronger as a whole. It is my hope that you find a home within the Panhellenic Community that sees how exceptional and passionate you are and pushes you to achieve what you once thought could never be possible.
We are so excited about your interest in joining the Panhellenic Association! If you have any general or specific questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any other member of the PHA Executive Board (look under the About tab under Officers). I hope you have a fantastic year, Rock Chalk!
Love,
2025 Panhellenic President Brynn Bertie
